Thoughts on Maduro

Ron's thoughts on Maduro's capture by the USA

Seems like Maduro should've had better security if he's been captured by the USA.

Drugs

As someone who is often more libertarian than the libertarians, I believe all drugs should be legalized. Government exists to serve the people, not to be our moral leader, our God or supreme authority, or to tell us what we can choose to put into our own bodies.

For decades, people were harassed, searched, and ticketed for smoking a plant in the USA, and it continues in many states, and people are still being arrested for growing or selling a plant, and it's used as an excuse to oppress people and deprive them of their supposed constitutional rights. And if you have a plant and a firearm, the local sensationalist newspaper will make you sound like a serious danger to the community, in collusion with the local government, all for profit. It gets them more money when they demonize our peaceful, taxpaying citizens and make them seem like huge dangers to the community.

Free country? When government tells you what you may or may not put into your own body in your own home, you have no rights. I thought we valued liberty here, but then I grew up and saw what's really going on and what a big lie it all was.

There are lots of things we're putting into our bodies, and not by choice or as an informed decision, that may be harmful. But the U.S. government has allowed many of the big businesses that sell foods and drugs to largely regulate themselves, thus there's little or no real oversight, and you're all a bunch of guinea pigs. You and your kids have been consuming for many years things like hydrogenated oils, food colorings made from petroleum, and other ingredients that are banned in many countries because the FDA of the USA is corrupt and doesn't protect the taxpaying American citizens that it's supposed to be working for.

Weed is often considered innocent today, while fentanyl is Satan. But the biggest buyers of fentanyl are hospitals. If they have legitimate use for fentanyl, then so can citizens. Of course, some of the black market drugs out there aren't safe, but whose fault is that?

Maduro is "indicted" on charges related to cocaine, a Schedule II drug under the Controlled Substances Act, meaning that it has a high potential for abuse but has medical use. Coca leaves have been used traditionally by native peoples for ages, and cocaine used to be legal in this country.

Narcoterrorism

If you have a house full of alcoholics, do you have a right to go attack your local ABC store for selling alcohol to your family? No, alcoholism is a problem for your household to solve.

But that's exactly what the USA is doing when it attacks Venezuela and takes their oil under the pretense of fighting "narcoterrorism", isn't it? We're essentially attacking the ABC store because of the alcoholics in our house. We're attacking people for selling things to people who want to buy them, things that are legal in many other places, because we disagree with something about the situation. Is that a precendent we want to normalize for rising powers like China?

As a conservative, I believe in free trade, and once again, President Trump and the federal government of the USA are against free trade, this time because so many people want to get high here. And why is that? Why are there so many unhappy people in this country? Is that because of Maduro? Or is it because of our own society and our own federal government and its corruption?

The government of the USA just can't go along with a world where the people can buy and sell as they wish. The government can and does get away with anything, including murder and genocide, but the people can't even buy and sell freely. You can't buy stocks without showing your papers, you can't order from overseas without tariffs, you can't do any business with certain countries, you can't buy plant matter to smoke in your home, etc., etc., etc. What's the next restriction to free trade from this shithole country?

Election Fraud

One criticism of Maduro is the supposed election fraud. We have lots of allegations of that in this country. Does that mean another country has the right to take over the USA because of allegations of election problems?

Hypocrisy

I think the CIA has done just about everything that Maduro is being accused of, including trafficking of drugs and weapons and interfering with elections. I'm not talking about complicity but actual involvement. The murderous CIA has a huge budget of black projects doing all kinds of nefarious things around the world with no accountability from the taxpayers, but we use the excuse of holding others like Maduro accountable - for things our hired goons are and have been doing with impunity.

What's Really Going On

Some leaders in the world don't bow down to U.S. power, and those leaders are demonized and removed from power.

Screw the Left

With all that said, leftists around the world are always supporting stupid and unhelpful nonsense in our country, and I'm tired of it, so part of me wants to say to Trump to do what you will with them. Enough is enough of that.

I disagree with many things our government does, but if you're promoting anti-white racism and all the other woke garbage, you're making an enemy of me, and you're making me want to support those who oppose you. I don't know entirely what Maduro supported, but I know what some of his supporters are supporting, and I don't like it.

Conclusion

So I have mixed feelings about the situation with Maduro at this point. Perhaps we'll learn more, or we'll just have a show-trial and more propaganda. Not sure.
